Galaxia Announces Strategic Partnership with Apolink to Deliver Real-Time Intelligence from Orbit
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – February 10, 2026 – Galaxia has announced a strategic partnership with Apolink, a California-based data relay satellite company to demonstrate hybrid optical-RF inter-satellite link (ISL) technology on an upcoming Galaxia mission.
The partnership was announced at the Canadian Consulate General in San Francisco during Canada Space Day, an event highlighting collaboration and innovation across the North American space ecosystem.
Under the agreement, Apolink’s hybrid optical-RF ISL technology is planned to be demonstrated aboard a Galaxia spacecraft scheduled for launch into sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) in 2027. The collaboration includes joint development activities spanning mission definition, system design, and link development. Galaxia’s transceivers are expected to achieve inherent interoperability with the Apolink’s forthcoming constellation of data relay satellites.
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing a collaborative space infrastructure,” said Batra, CEO of Apolink. “Working with Galaxia allows us to demonstrate our ISL capabilities on an international platform while strengthening ties between the U.S. and Canadian space ecosystems.”
The collaboration supports Galaxia’s MissionOne™ program by enabling near-continuous data movement between spacecraft and ground systems through in-orbit relay capabilities.
“This partnership allows us to integrate inter-satellite relay capability directly into a MissionOne™ flight mission,” said Lucas Rowlands, VP, Mission Operations at Galaxia. “By embedding this capability directly into our mission framework, we’re giving MissionOne™ customers more flexibility in how data moves through orbit and down to the ground, while improving uptime and responsiveness across the mission lifecycle.”
Through MissionOne™, Galaxia continues to build a growing partner ecosystem focused on delivering scalable, mission-ready satellite operations. By integrating advanced communications capabilities directly into its mission framework, Galaxia is enabling more responsive, connected missions and expanding the operational options available to MissionOne™ customers.
