As a Mission Operations Engineer at Galaxia, you’ll help plan, test, and operate space missions across spacecraft, ground systems, mission software, and customer programs. This role is for someone who can work across technical teams, stay calm under pressure, and help turn complex mission requirements into reliable operational execution.

Responsibilities
- Support mission planning, launch readiness, commissioning, and routine orbital operations.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, checklists, timelines, and mission documentation.
- Monitor spacecraft telemetry and help assess spacecraft health, performance, and anomalies.
- Participate in mission rehearsals, simulations, readiness reviews, and operational testing.
- Coordinate with spacecraft, software, payload, and ground systems teams on mission requirements.
- Help improve internal tools, workflows, and automation used by the mission operations team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace, satellite operations, systems engineering, robotics, software, RF, or another mission-critical technical environment.
- Strong understanding of technical systems, operational procedures, and structured troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and work with technical documentation, telemetry, logs, and system data.
- Clear communication skills, especially when working across engineering and operations teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving environments where precision and accountability matter.
- Canadian citizenship and eligibility to work with Canadian Controlled Goods may be required.
