Galaxia closes funding round to support accelerated growth
Halifax, Nova Scotia – September 10 - Galaxia today announced the successful close of its oversubscribed funding round, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth and reinforcing strong investor confidence in its vision for intelligent, sovereign space infrastructure. The 4.5 million CAD round was co-led by Amiral Ventures (QC) and Invest Nova Scotia (NS).
The round will support Galaxia’s next phase of growth - accelerating the deployment of advanced satellite systems, hybrid space networking capacity, and sovereign space capabilities, positioning the company to scale its technology stack and deliver mission ready systems for both commercial and government customers.

The raise comes at a time of accelerating demand for more resilient, responsive, and autonomous space infrastructure, particularly across defence, national security, and commercial applications. As satellite systems evolve from passive data collectors into dynamic, intelligent platforms, Galaxia is at the forefront of this shift. Galaxia’s proprietary onboard compute technology integrates networked communication, and mission software into a unified architecture designed to deliver real-time insight directly from orbit. Built on Canadian innovation and intellectual property, the platform supports the development of secure and sovereign capabilities tailored to modern operational requirements.
